Singapore is getting something genuinely new: a purpose-built wellness resort on a scale the city has never seen. Therme Singapore, the first Asian project from European wellness group Therme, broke ground in June 2026 at Marina South and is set to open in 2030. Over 720,000 sq ft across seven levels, it will be one of the largest well-being destinations in the world — and it's being built right here.
What Therme Singapore will offer
The development is organised into three distinct zones, each designed for a different kind of experience. More than 20 pools and water attractions, over 70 wellness treatment rooms, and tropical landscaping featuring more than 200,000 plants from over 200 species — including orchids and native Southeast Asian varieties — will fill the space. A dedicated F&B precinct spanning around 86,000 sq ft completes the picture.

The Marina South setting
Therme will sit at Marina South, one of Singapore's most significant new residential and mixed-use precincts currently taking shape south of the CBD. A coastal public park spanning almost 4 hectares will connect Therme Singapore directly to Marina Barrage — creating a waterfront leisure corridor that positions the entire area as something qualitatively different from Singapore's existing districts.
The project is developed by Therme Group in partnership with Kajima Overseas Asia (Singapore), and designed by DP Architects and Therme's in-house design arm. Led by former JTC chief Tan Boon Khai, the $1 billion development represents Therme Group's first Asia project after successful rollouts in Europe.
